Kumbirai completed his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Fort Hare in South Africa. Kumbirai undertook further studies and completed a Masters of Commercial Law and Resources, along with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Western Australia. Kumbirai completed his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law and was later admitted as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in October 2016.
