The team at Lynn & Brown Lawyers recently got together to support the Cancer Council’s biggest morning tea annual fundraising event.
Like thousands of people around the country, the team at Lynn & Brown Lawyers were happy to support the event which encourages people to host a morning tea and raise much needed funds for the cause.
“It’s sad that cancer is so prevalent in our society. Everybody knows somebody who has been affected in some way,” said Annaleise Pure, who organised the event.
“It was nice to take the time out to not only enjoy the morning tea together, but it was made all the more special by knowing that we were contributing to such a worthy cause,” said Annaleise.
The team raised a total of $250.00 and is all set to do it again next year.
Last year the Cancer Council’s event raised a staggering $11.9 million to help beat cancer. This year the target is over $13 million which will help fund research, prevention and support services for those people affected with cancer.
