Andrew Ernest Lynn, Director L.L.B. F.A.I.B. F.T.I.A.

Admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia in 1974, Andrew worked as a corporate solicitor for the R&I Bank for 16 years before joining Summers Partners in 1991. In 1995, Andrew commenced as a sole practitioner in Morley under the name Andrew Lynn & Associates, which later became Lynn & Brown Lawyers and as of 1 June 2007 the firm Lynn & Brown ceased to trade and Lynn and Brown Lawyers Pty Ltd was incorporated.
Andrew has many years experience in finance and banking law, commercial, conveyancing and administration law. He has provided advice to and served on various commercial and government boards and institutions. Andrew continues to be a fellow of the Australian Institute of Bankers and a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
He has previously served on the Commercial and Revenue Law Committee of the Law Society of Western Australia for a number of years and works today in his current practice advising small to medium businesses in day to day legal matters.
In 2006 Andrew became a Notary Public and continues to serve the needs of the local community. Andrew also serves on the board of the Small Business Centre – Stirling. |
Steven James Brown, Director L.L.B.

A graduate of the University of Western Australia, Steven was admitted as a lawyer in 1997. Steven became a partner of the firm in January 2000. As of 1 June 2007 Steven became a director of Lynn and Brown Lawyers Pty Ltd.
Whilst he regularly advises in many areas of law, Steven has extensive experience in commercial law. He is an experienced advocate in a variety of courts and tribunals and frequently represents clients in Court.
Steven became a registered migration agent with Australian Migration Agents Registration Authority in early 2008 (MARN #0641345).
As President of the Central Eastern Business Association (formerly Morley & Districts Business Association) for 2002 and 2003, Steven has an understanding of the needs of the small business community and continues to serve on the Central Eastern Business Association Committee. He also serves as a Board member for Bayswater Community Financial Services Ltd, the franchisee for the Bayswater and Noranda branches of the Bendigo Community Bank.
An avid hockey player, Steven continues to be involved with the Newman Knights Hockey Club. |
Jacqueline Ann Brown, Director L.L.B.

Admitted as a lawyer in 1996 after graduating from the University of Western Australia, Jacqui worked in family law and general commercial law from 1996 through 1999. She then joined Karp & Steedman (later Karp Steedman Ross-Adjie) where she worked primarily in family law. Jacqui commenced working with Lynn & Brown in July 2003 and continues to advise primarily on matters involving family law issues, including property settlements and childrens’ issues, as well as assisting clients in other areas of general legal practice. Jacqui became a director of Lynn & Brown Lawyers on 1 June 2007.
A member of Women Lawyers of Western Australia (Inc), the Family Law Practitioners Association of WA and immediate past president of the Malaga & Districts Business Association, Jacqui is able to assist clients with their personal and business legal matters. Jacqui is currently on the board of Eastern Region Employment and Community Services Inc. Jacqui continues to pursue her Master of Laws Degree at the University of Western Australia. |
Anna Elizabeth Van Zyl, Associate Lawyer B.Proc.
Annelie is a graduate of the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (PU for CHE), South Africa. She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Africa in February 1995. She practised as a sole practitioner in the areas of family law, personal injury law and other areas of general practice.
Annelie immigrated to Australia in 2003. In April 2004 she was admitted as solicitor in New South Wales. She was admitted to practice law in Western Australia on 28 September 2007 and joined the family law department of Lynn & Brown in October 2007. She is mainly involved with family law issues under the direction of Jacqui Brown and also assists Steven Brown with migration law matters.
Annelie is also a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association of WA and speaks Afrikaans fluently.
Willem Johannes Furstenberg, Associate Lawyer B.JURIS, LL.B
Willem is a graduate of the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Africa in1996 April . He practiced as a sole practitioner in the areas of commercial law and corporate debt recovery.Willem immigrated to Australia in 2007.
Prior to his move to Australia, Willem was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 2003 and in Western Australia in 2004.In August 2007, Willem joined Hammond King Touyz in Perth CBD where he was involved in commercial law, property law, wills, probate and estate planning.
Willem joined Lynn & Brown Lawyers Pty Ltd in July 2008 and is mainly involved with commercial law, wills and probate and immigration law.
Helen Roselie Black, Solicitor L.L.B. (Hons)., AssCIArb, Grad Cert Const Law
Helen joined the team at Lynn & Brown commencing her Articled Clerkship in January 2007. She was admitted to practice on 2 April 2008.
Helen is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators, and holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Notre Dame Australia. She is also a member of Women Lawyers of Western Australia (Inc).
In addition to undertaking her articled clerk training last year, Helen has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Building and Construction Law with the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Nicholas Marouchak, Solicitor L.L.B B.COM (Mgmt)
Nick began working at Lynn & Brown as a paralegal on a part-time basis while completing his final year of a Law/Commerce double degree at the University of Notre Dame.
Nick completed his degrees in 2007, and having also completed a course at the College of Law (Vic) in early 2008, he was admitted on 21 July 2008 as a legal practitioner in Western Australia. Nick is also admitted as a legal practitioner in Victoria.
Nick is currently the secretary of the Malaga and Districts Business Association.
Nick has also completed clerkships at two of the top four national accounting firms working in their tax areas. He is fluent in conversational Ukrainian, and can understand Polish.
Trang Ngo, Law Clerk
Trang joined the Lynn & Brown team as a law clerk while finishing her law degree at Murdoch University, which she anticipates completing at the end of 2008.
Trang is a graduate of Curtin University majoring in journalism with a minor degree in public relations. Prior to her entering the legal profession, Trang had worked as a journalist and continues to freelance on occasion.
Trang is fluent in conversational Vietnamese.

Tina Cousins, Practice Manager:
22 years legal office experience. Has worked previously as a Personal Assistant and Paralegal for two sole practitioners practising in numerous areas of law. Joined the firm in 2002.
Elaine Knott, Legal Secretary/WPO:
13 years legal office experience. Previously employed by Solomon Brothers as a Legal Secretary/Aministrator-Office Staff. Joined the firm in 2005.
Greg Lynn, Law Clerk:
Greg has been with the firm since 1999. He assists with general administration. Greg has recently completed his Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English, and has now commenced a Law Degree.
Bonita DelFabbro, Receptionist:
Joined the firm in April 2007. Bonita assists Tina with the daily operation of the firm.
Karen Brouwer, Legal Secretary:
Joined the firm in May 2007. Karen has over 20 years experience working in various offices in New South Wales and Western Australia. She has a particular interest in Probate, Wills and Conveyancing.
Nikki Hankin, Administrative Assistant:
Joined the firm in June 2007. Nikki assists Tina with the daily operation of the firm.
Karen Rudd, Legal Secretary:
20 years legal office experience. Previously employed by DCH Legal Group as a legal secretary and word processing operator. Joined the Firm in March 2008.
Jadie Jyrkinen, Receptionist:
Joined the firm in March 2008. Jadie assists Tina with the daily operation of the firm.
